North West Conservative MEP and Deputy Leader of the Conservative MEPs, Jacqueline Foster has met with campaigners from ‘Keep our Future Afloat’ which lobbies for  naval shipbuilding orders to enable the Royal Navy to have the resources it needs to defend the UK and the sea lanes on which our trade depends.

North West MEP welcomes Cumbria nuclear deal

North West Conservative MEP, Jacqueline Foster, and Deputy leader of the Conservative MEPs, has welcomed the agreement between the Treasury and NuGeneration Limited that will see the UK's largest new nuclear power station built at Moorside in West Cumbria.

North West MEP backs British Farming

North West MEP Jacqueline Foster was among the first MEPs to sign the pledge to 'Back British Farming' this week.  The Pledge, organised by the National Farmers Union,  seeks to improve the food supply, ensure decisions are based on scientific evidence and reform the bloated, wasteful 'Common Agricultural Policy'.

EU will come to regret Juncker appointment, warns PM

There has been strong backing following David Cameron's attempts to block the appointment of Jean-Claude Juncker as next President of the European Commission.  North West MEP, and Deputy Leader of the Conservative MEPs, Jacqueline Foster was speaking after today's meeting of European leaders, when the Prime Minister argued that the favoured candidate of many European leaders was the wrong person for the job.
