'North West Conservative Clubs continue to thrive', says their President, Jacqueline Foster MEP

As President of the North West Conservative Clubs, Jacqueline was once again delighted to attend the 'Annual Clubs Weekend', held in Grange-over-Sands on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th February this year.

Commenting after the weekend, Jacqueline said:

"It was fantastic to join so many good friends in Cumbria at the weekend at the highlight of the North West Clubs' year! This was the '48th Annual Weekend', superbly organised by the Chairman, Cllr. John Hudson, and his dedicated team.

"A lot has happened since members met last year and it was great to be able to lead the Saturday session with a lively discussion on the topic of the moment, 'Brexit.' I was left under no illusion: the mood of the meeting was overwhelmingly positive and full square behind our Prime Minister, Theresa May, as she seeks the best possible deal for the United Kingdom when we leave the European Union.

"After the politics, all those present enjoyed a fabulous dinner with guest speakers Alistair Burt MP (National Chairman of the Association of Conservative Clubs) and Lord Smith of Hindhead CBE (Chief Executive of the ACC).  Well done to everyone involved in the event and I look forward to seeing you next year!"
