Almost 100 members from across Cumbria attended this year's Conference, held at the Low Wood Bay Hotel at Windermere. North West MEP Jacqueline Foster, as well as MPs Rory Stewart and John Stevenson, councillors and candidates from across the County met and heard from Peter McCall, Police & Crime Commissioner candidate. 

11 Mar 2016: Maritime Knowledge Hub and deep water container terminal will boost economic growth in Merseyside

Shipping Minister Robert Goodwill MP has today concluded a two day visit of new maritime developments in Merseyside with Jacqueline Foster MEP, Conservative Transport Spokeman. During the trip, the minister officially opened the first phase of a Maritime Knowledge Hub, developed by a partnership of private, public and academic organisations to help create skilled maritime jobs on Merseyside.

15 Feb 2016: Review of the Cheshire & Wirral Area Conference

Almost 200 members from across Cheshire and Wirral attended this year's Area Conference.  Held in Chester, the Guest Speaker at this, the fourth conference, was the Rt Hon Robert Halfon MP, Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party. Jacqueline was joined by MPs from across the area, Police & Crime Commissioner candidates, council group leaders and activists from all 15 local associations and further afield.

Conservatives win the 2015 General Election

Conservatives have won the United Kingdom's 2015 General Election - as Labour and UKIP failed to make the predicted gains while the Liberal Democrats were all but wiped out.  In the North West, Conservatives gained Bolton West, Cheadle and Hazel Grove but lost Chester, Lancaster & Fleetwood and Wirral West.

Transport Spokesman meets with 'Keep our Future Afloat'

North West Conservative MEP and Deputy Leader of the Conservative MEPs, Jacqueline Foster has met with campaigners from ‘Keep our Future Afloat’ which lobbies for  naval shipbuilding orders to enable the Royal Navy to have the resources it needs to defend the UK and the sea lanes on which our trade depends.

North West MEP welcomes Cumbria nuclear deal

North West Conservative MEP, Jacqueline Foster, and Deputy leader of the Conservative MEPs, has welcomed the agreement between the Treasury and NuGeneration Limited that will see the UK's largest new nuclear power station built at Moorside in West Cumbria.
